Ep 790 - The shocking link between porn and sex trafficking
===
[00:00:00] Hey, hey, what's up, everybody? It's Sathya Sam here. Welcome to Unleash the Man Within. Thank you guys so much for listening. I hope you're having a fantastic day. Uh, and look, before I jump into today's content, I want to make sure you guys know that we are fielding your questions. Starting in June, we're going to be answering them live.
So we're actually going to have listeners of the show join us. We're going to coach them through whatever issue they might be going through. It's going to be a lot of fun. If that sounds like something you want to be a part of, and you know, maybe you're really struggling, you know, you feel like you're doing everything right, you just can't figure out what that next step is, or you've [00:01:00] plateaued, or maybe you're just getting started, and you don't want to make all these rookie mistakes along the way, you just want the clear and direct path, all of these situations are opportunities for you to get live coaching from us, there's a link in the show notes, I'd love for you to click on that, submit your question, and we will field it, you know, and if we feel like it's a good fit, we'd be happy to answer it.
The other thing I want to let you guys know about is that we have a few spots open for our program right now that's called Deep Clean. That's sort of my coaching program that's on the back end of this podcast. If you're really serious about quitting pornography and you know that you want a system, that you want coaching and guidance, because, you know, it's hard to figure this stuff out on your own, and sometimes you can do it on your own, but it takes years.
Um, why spend years when you can just spend months? Get a calculated system that's, you know, predictable, that's proven, and that's going to get you that desired outcome in a way shorter span of time. There's a link in the show notes called free case study. Just click on that and that'll give you a chance to find out more about what we do and to see if it's a good fit for you.
All right, let's jump into a really important subject, something that we like to discuss on the on the [00:02:00] podcast every once in a while, and I'm actually working on bringing some pretty decent sized names to talk about this, but I wanted to, I want to kind of just comment on another layer of this subject matter that We haven't yet discussed on the show, not as directly at least.
We've had some people already talk about sex trafficking and porn. I'm going to just give you the cold notes of that and then I'm going to go into what's kind of a different angle here. Um, the porn industry is the marketing department for sex traffickers. Okay, so there is no sex trafficking or there's very little sex trafficking without pornography and there's very little pornography without sex trafficking.
These two are part in parcel. So if you are anti sex trafficking and you see the sex slaves and the sex crimes and the way these sort of rings work and operate and you've seen how disgusting they are because that's what they are, they're absolute filth, and then you watch pornography. You [00:03:00] have to acknowledge that you are actually not just supporting it.
You're endorsing it. There is no separation of sex trafficking and the porn industry. They are inextricably linked. Now I want to explain this linkage to you. Um, what happens is pornographers specifically target people at a young age. Why? Because we Benji Nolot, the founder of Exodus Cry. We had him on here.
And he said after five years of surveying people who frequented, uh, brothels, prostitution rings, uh, you know, all these kinds of homes and houses and opportunities to, you know, get their sexual satisfaction by pain. They all had one thing in common, and that is they were exposed to pornography at a young age.
Now, why does that matter? Well, what happens is pornography conditions your brain. To experience sexual arousal from other people, other people, that's the key language. Okay. It's other people. Now, when you're a single 14 year old and you [00:04:00] just have all this, you know, testosterone and you don't know how to manage it.
Well, yeah, sure. You, you watch some pornography and you know, whatever, who cares. But what happens is, you know, you're 18 and then you're 25. And now your brain has hardwired in watching pornography during its developmental years. So now it's just there and you have this reliance on it and you have this dependence on it.
And that programming to be aroused by other people hasn't gone anywhere. In fact, if anything, it's become more solidified. And so because it's solidified and because it's there in your conscious, what happens is you begin to seek out experiences with other people and you might even be married and, uh, That maybe it's just pornography, but eventually porn doesn't cut it.
And that's when people start to engage in the front end of sex trafficking, which is prostitution, rings and brothels. So whether you've actually gone that far or not. is kind of irrelevant. The point is you're on that path and the odds are stacked significantly [00:05:00] against you to not participate in sex trafficking.
If you've been exposed to pornography at a young age, which is just about every single one of you watching this episode. So this is a really big deal. Okay. Now this is kind of the, the tip of the iceberg. Uh, if we get a little bit deeper into genres and content and the nature of what is actually depicted in Modern day pornography.
This is when things get really interesting. Um, One of the top keywords of the last couple years has been a keyword called Pene. Okay, Pene, referring to Filipinos, alright? Now, this is really interesting. This is a genre of, you know, again, it's Filipino women. And, uh, When we talk about red light districts, everybody talks about Amsterdam.
You might occasionally hear about Thailand. The Philippines is actually notorious for this. And so a lot of pinay porn is actually the result of sex trafficking. And they basically just film what's going on and turn out all this [00:06:00] content. And of course, as usual, you know, the warlords at the top make all this money.
They run the operation and they basically just exploit women and children. Now, speaking of children, the other side of sex trafficking that is really discussed. Is the impact that this has on our young people? Um, how do I say this? There are so many minors in pornography today. It's not even funny. They lie about their age or You know, they don't tell anybody, um, or they don't, they disclose it, but, you know, it doesn't stop the people from making the video.
Um, the amount of content that is online of minors is completely disturbing. And to give you an idea, you know, Pornhub went through this big lawsuit a couple of years ago now. And one of the, uh, sorry, they went through a lawsuit that's actually more recent. Uh, they first, the first there was an expose. I was written by, uh, someone in the New York times.
And it was this expose basically showing how Pornhub in [00:07:00] particular is showing all this content of minors. They're not protecting minors. They say they have this policy that they do it, but in reality they don't actually carry it out. And this has been proven with, you know, gosh, millions probably of stories, but certainly thousands of stories, uh, detailing exactly that scenario.
Overnight, okay, Pornhub was requested to take down these videos, basically stop it. Like. All the content with minors and you know all that stop it take it down. It's it's literally illegal And overnight they were able to do it Overnight. Okay. So when you watch pornography The the you're funneling your time and attention into an industry That is comfortable And aware of their exposure of minors, their exploitation of them and does nothing about it.
And the, the, you know, for this podcast and this practice, you know, my coaching practice, the scope of what we do is on the male side. You know, we focus on men and we talk about [00:08:00] what men are struggling with and we talk about how men need to get better. But I just want you to think of every single woman you've ever watched, every single Uh, you know, person who's in these brothels and these prostitution rings and these red light districts.
This is someone's daughter. This is someone's son. These are these are children of other people. These are people with a soul and a heart and a purpose and a call on their life. These are people that God has called. to something great. You know, these are people made in the image of the very God that you serve.
We want to be really, really careful. And, uh, we haven't talked about these angles before in linking sex trafficking and pornography. Uh, but I wanted to do that today because it's really humbling. It's really eye opening. Um, and to be honest, it's quite staggering and I don't believe in fear tactics to motivate you to quit porn and to say, you know, look at how terrible you are supporting this.
You need to stop, but I want to make sure that you're aware of the extent because we're as addicts, we can be very good at sort of narrowing the scope, right? And [00:09:00] justifying and slowly just creating a small little world where this is the world. This is all we do. It doesn't affect anyone and it's not a big deal.
And. You know who really cares and you know, they like it and they enjoy the people that are on screen and whatever. When actually the bigger picture shows us that there's a lot of evil going on. There's a lot of insidious agendas that are manifested through pornography and funneled into the sex trafficking industry.
You and I would be wise to support neither. So that's everything for today guys. Thank you so much for listening. Again, if you have some questions that you want to be answered live on this podcast, use the form in the show notes. Make sure you answer it. We'd be happy. to receive your question and to get you on here.
That's everything. Much love to you guys. We'll talk soon. Bye bye. [00:10:00] [00:11:00]
